TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Oh my! All of the colors are so beautiful and fresh! I love Jack, Grady and Madigan. I would make socks out of all of them. You know, CookieA's new book is coming out soon and I've seen some of the patterns and already have favorites. Your yarn would go so beautifully with a CookieA pattern! I'm also wanting to knit Rivendell and that pattern has Jack written all over it!

I think that Grady is my favorite. It seems different from what I usually see and like. I really like Berets so I think it would wind up as a beret and a pair of mitts.

Niall and Clare come in second as perfect for a lace shawl I just saw a pattern for.

I also love all the shades of green!

Maguire. Probably a hat/arm warmer set for my sister.

Maura - and socks, of course! I like a lot of the colors though...Grady is especially nice. And, oh, all the blue ones. And Jack...

Got to be Devin love it, love it, love it!!! Would make something - sox probly - for my hubby 'cos he's a Hibs fan and can never have enough green things!!

It's hard to choose. I am looking for beautiful yarn to make myself a sweater and it is a toss up between Niall and Cameron. Definitely Jack for a pair of longies for DS and some Kate for a kimono for a little girl that I wish I had!!! Love the new colors.

Sharon, They are all wonderful! I would choose Grady. My sister has found a lump in her breast and she is going to have surgery. I would make her the happiest pair of socks for her to wear that day. What's more comforting than oatmeal, butterscotch, fudge and espresso. The luck of the Irish would be with her!

Your merchandising is phenomenal! I would make a shawl-ette for a friend going through chemo treatments. She would love the colors Clare or Niale

There are so many pretty colors. It is difficult to choose just one. I'd try Erin for my daughter Erin. A top down cardigan swing jacket/sweater would do it justice. Keep up the good work.

My choice would be Clare for a bright spring shawlette (Laminaria, Aeolian, Swallowtail or Forest Canopy), but making us choose is sooooooooooo difficult - I could happily give every skein a loving home!

I love all the colorways,...how to choose. I thik I would pick the Maeve and probably make a nice short-sleeve sweater for the upcoming spring/summer weather.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKathy

I would totally choose Maguire--matching hats for all the kids!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEmily

I would choose Connor and knit myself a warm, cheerful blanket. Maybe doing a lace pattern in a worsted weight yarn. Something pretty.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKeri

I love Alana, I think I would make a hat, maybe Foliage.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterkine

Niall -- a sweater for me -- I'm trying to wean myself off purple so this colorway prevents me from going cold turkey!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKaty

One??? Just one? Oh that is so hard to choose! (notice I'm not the only one saying that!).

If I only could choose one, I'd pick Kate for a fabulous pair of socks that I'd wear with my way cute Mary Jane shoes. Or my lime green Crocs (did I just disqualify myself??).

Now if I get to pick more than one, I'd choose Grady for a fall sweater all for me, Madigan for another sweater for me and Clare for a sweater for my baby princess granddaughter.

Oh...and Erin for a shawl.

I'll shut up now. :)

They are all very beautiful -- this is a really hard choice!! I think any of them would produce something wonderful.

My favorite is Kieran. I would use this lovely, firey yarn to make a shawl or scarf using a candle flame lace pattern.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSusan

Maeve- It's neutral and colorful at the same time. Goes with jeans, goes with khakis. A loose kimono style wrap/cardigan.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLaurie

Grady & Careroon will make a awesome vest for my 77 yr.old Dad. Jack will be wonderful Socks for him too!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLiz

I'm kinda torn, but in the end Jack beats Erin. I would make some crazy spring-like socks... maybe the Firestarter pattern :)

Hi, what a nice idea! I would chose Alana and make a gorgeous cowl out of it, because I can't have enough things to keep my neck warm (and that despite me living in a mediterranean climate)
I did not know about you before stumbling over this give-away on ravelry, but am glad I decided to have a last look there before shutting down the internet ;-)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDaniela

Clare! So bright and lovely! They're all gorgeous though.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJoanne

I love them all -- but I would pick Maeve and use it to make my first ever sweater!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterChristine

I love Erin - I'd make those new fingerless gloves from knitty with that lovely green yarn.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSheila

Alana- because the colors remind me of my mom. I would use this yarn to make her a hat that "finally" looked good on her (she always complains that she can't wear hats but I disagree!)
