TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

I love your yarn and the presentation is top quality.
I had a really hard time choosing a colour as there are so many that appeal and lots of them complement each other.

I'd choose Niall (but also loved Cameron and Kate). I'd probably make a sweater with a combination of yarns to showcase the colours of Niall.

What a fabulous look book! Very fun to browse through (and drool over the pretty, pretty yarn!).

If I *had* to choose one I would make a pair of Bella Mittens from your "Jack" colorway. That is my son's name. You have my husband's name in there as well (Ian).

Niall has my name written all over that. I see those colors and my blood pressure instantly drops a significant number of points and my aura balances!

I would be likely to make some lace shawl with that, perhaps Eunny Jang's Print O'the Wave.

Beautiful photos. Would love to see some blog posts on how the lighting is done in those, as a photographer myself.

So many pretty colors! It's hard to pick. For me, it's between Maura or Niall.

i have followed you from ravelry and i drool over your catalogue.. all of them looks great and it is hard to choose. I would choose Niall and Maura. The first becasue it sounds like my name and the latter becasue it has the most prettiest most subtle colors i can ever imagine. In a perfect knitting world I would make Maura into a great flattering little cardigan for the sipring so I can show off

If I only had the chance to buy one skein out of all these fabulous colors I would choose Kate. I would make a lovely dress for my 13 weeks old granddaughter. These colors compliment great with her skin and haircolor :-)

Kieran because I love fall colorways. I would make the Falling Leaves wrap by Dory Brown for my first trip to Rhinebeck!

I'd love to get the Erin to use for some wool longies I'm thinking!

Wow, you certainly have been busy! What lovely colourways, and the LookBook is inspired. I would choose Jack - it is a lovely combination. It would become a ribbed shrug from the Fitted Knits book - for me! Very pleased to see the return of Grady too :o)

Hard to choose but 'm thinking I'd love Niall to make the fountainpen shawl with :)

I like dian but I would not choose what to make until I felt it, then it would choose something that I would make by itself.

Wow...these are all so beautiful - it's difficult to jsut choose one! I have not seen your yarns before, but they look so wonderful, I will definitely be checking out your website.

My favourite would have to be Erin, not only because it's my name, but it's also my favourite colours! It is just crying out to be made into some socks with beautiful Celtic knotwork cables, or maybe a lacy scarf with a Celtic theme.

Thanks for the comp, what a wonderful and genorous idea.

So hard to choose just one!! But I have to say that "Jack" is my absolute fave -- such an unexpected and original colour combo.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSandra

I love all the colourways but my favourtie is Kieron, I would knit a lage Pi shawl. Just lovely. Off to have a look at your shop :).

First of all, it shouldn't be allowed, making us choose which of these fabulous yarns we prefer. Despite being on a pink trip at the moment, I love all the greens and blues, in particular Devin. It's bright and springlike, without being gaudy.
I'm sure it would make a great spring shoulder warmer shrug!

So many lovely colours it's hard to pick just one but my feet are ready for some Grady socks.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBrenda

Maeve hands down. Of course, I've already got a pair of shorties for one of my girls in it. bwahahahahaha! Still adore it, though, I could be tempted by Devin. And I would be busy going back-and-forth between Wooly Wormhead hat patterns for myself. Maybe fingerless gloves or wristlets with any leftovers, but definitely a hat!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMiriam

Ooh, Cameron is gorgeous! I'd make socks (oh how predictable....) or another lace ribbon scarf.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHelen Barlow

It's hard to choose just one favourite, but I'd have to go with Grady. Why? Because I feel like one of the TWO babies in my belly is a boy... and that boy would LOVE, LOVE a pair of longies made from this yarn.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterNicole

Oh, it's got to be Erin!
The colours remind me of looking down the sea on the Kaikoura Coast of New Zealand.
And what would I knit with it ? ..... a Wave scarf :)

Stunning photos.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJoanne

Kate would be my choice, for knitting chocolate cherry colored socks of course. Fabulous colors! They all look beautiful, hard to choose a favorite really :-)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJayne

It's tough to choose because they're all lovely but as it's Spring, I'd use Devin to make Ishbel by Isolda Teague

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSherpa

They are all so beautiful! I would be happy with any, but I have to say my heart stopped when I saw Grady. I would knit a beautiful afghan so I could wrap myself in those beautiful colors.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTracy

Madigan.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLinda Lightcap

Very difficult to decide for one colourway. I think I'd choose Cameron.
Greetings from Germany!
