TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Definitely Maura, followed very closely by Madigan! I'd probably make socks - cause I love me some homemade socks! :o)

The Maguire colorway is my favorite, although it was a difficult choice. There were at least 6 that I loved.
I saw a lovely pullover sweater pattern last night at knitting class. I'd love to make that sweater with the Maguire color.

Thank you!

Maeve wins by a whisper for me (Madigan was a close contendor, helped by the fact that it's the name of a formerly well-frequented Dublin pub!). Maeve is a truly beautiful colour and as my daughter is named after Maeve's sister in Irish legend it had to be The One :-) I would turn it into a wrap type cardigan to snugle up with for warmth and comfort.

I'd bring home Devin and make the Whisper cardi from the lastest Interweave! All of your yarn and photos are beautiful though!

Ahhhhh Erin. Erin is telling me she wants to come home with me, and be knit into a soft sweater. Specifically, she wants to be the Stitch Diva Studios Bullseye sweater. Who knew she had it in her? I did. Oh yes, I did. :)

I love Kate! I would make a shrug or a pair of socks!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSarah C

i would choose devin, or maybe maguire. or maeve.

all three would look great made up as a Ten O Clock Scarf (rav pattern)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commentercalalalala

Wow, that was a tough choice. In a perfect world I would take 'em all.!! But if I must decide on one, it would be Grady! Wow that is vibrant. ANd in that same perfect world I would make my grandchildren hats, scarfs and mittens to keep them all toasty warm and cuddly on the cold days in Jerusalem!!

I'd bring home a whole bunch of Alana to make a February Lady sweater. They are all beautiful, though. It's so hard to choose!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMichelle Z.

They are all so lovely!!! I'd choose Cian and make a wonderful scarf. It would be like wrapping myself in sunshine on a cold day!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPatricia

I would take Clare home, no doubt. And I'd make something to frame my face with it, like a cowl or a lacy scarf, 'cos it would work great with my complexion. Perhaps a Wisp?

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSophie

I am absolutely torn between Maeve and Clare because both of them are screaming take me home I want to be a lacy little something.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterCynthia

I would love to make an Entrelac scarf with Jack!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEileen

All of your yarns are beautiful, but this time of year I'm always attracted to bright happy yellows. I love the Cian, it reminds me of forsythias. I think it would make a perfect little shrug for sunny spring days that are still chilly.

I would love to knit with either Connor or Brady (or both together, as you show)! The blues really appeal to me. And since the yarn is so beautiful on its own, I would make a plain stockingette scarf on big (US 11 perhaps?) needles, for a lacy but simple look.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnneh

I would take Clare home with me, and I would make a lovely pair of elbow length gauntlets, with cables. Or maybe lace, I'd need to swatch with the yarn first and see what it said to me.

My mother has a condition that make her hands move all the time. I want to wrap those fluttering hands in wool - in a cool but warm and soothing colour.
In other words:
I would pick Brady to make my mum a pair of mittens.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterRineke

Niall is my favorite. I believe I'd make a vest - a deep vneck and nice shaping.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJulie

I like maeve, i also like jack i think it was, i would love to make some socks, cuz all mine have holes and i am attempting to make me some homemade ones!!! thank you!!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterStacey

The yarns are just luscious! But to make a choice of just one, I would take Jack. I think it would make a beautiful tank top for the spring and summer. It looks so upbeat and happy. But all of the yarns are gorgeous!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLinda Roundy

Wow, this is hard. In a perfect world, I would get to take them all home, but since I have to pick just one...

Maura. Sisters, this color speaks to me! I would make St. Petersburg by Kate Ganon. For. Me. It's a beautiful jacket, which would show off the subtleness of Maura perfectly. And I'm sure you could dye up a skein of two to match the dusty lilac in Maura to be worked as the accent bands, yes?

This has "ME" written all over it.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPam B

While every single colorway is stunning, I would choose Cian in dk weight to make an anniversary sweater for my partner of 38 years since she looks stunning in yellows. Can't wait to get my hands on these beauties!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPat Wilson

For me, it's Maura. To be exact, it's not for me, but my mother. She'll be celebrating her 75th birthday in August, and Maura will be perfect for a birthdayproject. Perhaps a nice shawl or a scarf; she loves long drapey scarves. The colours in Maura are simply beautiful, and I know it will look good on her!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEllen (Lnand)

Lots of lovely yarn to choose from, but if I could only have one:
Niall to make a Cardigan for Arwen.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTamsyn

Your yarn is lovely and it is not hard to imagine just how lovely socks would be in it. Your photography is also top of the line.
