TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

I would choose maeve and would knit up a pair of longies and a confection shrug for my dd. :)

I'd have to take Cara home with me - probably for a minimalist cardigan. And then I'd need to come back to get more for a hat and some fingerless gloves. So beautiful!

Maura is such a lovely colorway. It would look beautiful in so many things, but I think it would be especially elegant in a cropped cardigan with three-quarter length sleeves.

I believe I would have to have maeve to make a wonderful shawl! Wonderful yarns, colorways and pictures!
thanks for sharing.

Niall, for a gorgeous drapey wrap top or stole, or a cool granddad-style shell.

And Alana for a not toogirlypink baby set.

And socks. All of them for socks, wristwarmers and cowls. In this selection there isn't one colourway I can't see myself knitting with, and that never happens. Congratulations on a great job!

I LOVE Jack. I think he would make some awesome shorties!!

they are stunning! i can narrow it down to jack, kate and madigan. and i'd make them a still life sculpture for my coffee table until i'd found just the right project. :D

I love love love Niall. I could turn that into some gorgeously luscious lacy knee high socks. It is beautiful.

First time visitor, found by way of Ravelry. Now off to see the rest! Gorgeous work!

I'd choose Maura and would made a Woodland Shawl - I think the yarn and the pattern would be a wonderful combination.

So hard to choose, they are all so beautiful and wonderful! Maybe Maeve to make something special, maybe a sweater, for my little one due in October.

I would choose Erin and make socks for my best friend, she loves greens. She is moving to England in a few months and they would be one of her going away presents.

Wow, hard to choose - Devin, Alana...Cian, or Jack.

Because summer is coming (and it better come soon...) I choose Devin for this skirt overlay that is crochet but looks piratey in bland cotton, but I am betting will be beautiful in Devin and more asian or gypsy than pirate. Love it.

Niall! I've yet to knit an adult size sweater and I can totally see Niall knit into a beautiful lacy sweater for ME! They're all beautiful though...I really love the subtle colorways this time.

I think at this moment that I would choose Ian to make a pair of longies for my youngest grandson. There are so many colorways that I could pick and would pick. I can see one for my husband for socks or a sweater. I can see another for me for socks. I can see still another for my daughter for socks. But for right now I would choose Ian for a pair of longies for my youngest grandson.

All are quite lovely, but I chose my 6 favorites that I can definitely see myself using. My favorite is Maura and I see it as a feather and fan stole for spring and summer. 2. is Clare and again it would be beautiful in lace. 3. Niall would be for a baby boy sweater and maybe a blanket as well. 4. Brady and Connor would make a great scarf or socks. 5 Devin would be great for socks, scarf, fingerless mitts or a really nice lacy sweater. 6. Finally Alana would be for a baby girl. I just finished a baby blanket in s similar colorway and it was beautiful. The softness of the rose and choclate blend is perfect for a baby girl and these colors are very popular right now for babies. Future fyi the same thing for boys would be nice to see in soft shades of blue and choclate . The new colorways are exciting and I look forward to playing with them. Thank you.

My favorite color is green and I'm in love with the colorway Devin. I'm dreaming of a cardigan in Elenya Alpaca/Merino. yum.

I would have to get Jack and I would be making my son JACK a whole set of wintery things for next fall... kimono jacket, blanket, sweater, hat, longies... the works. The boy ought to be in his own yarn! :)

I like Erin the most. Beautiful!

I would make a pair of socks or fingerless gloves.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMolly

Devin would be my absolute favorite. As to what I would make with it... I've been wanting to make a triangular shaw/scarf for spring. This shade of green is perfect for a spring garment.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKathy

Erin--I have this weird urge to always have green socks, and this colorway has enough of a spectrum range to keep things interesting.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLaura

If I had to pick a favorite, it would be Erin--although Devin intrigues me as well.

I would make a lacy spring wrap out of it. I love the colors.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterTracy

Well, I am a little biased...so Erin it is. Not only is it a wonderful name, but an oh so yummy yarn. I would definately make a pair of socks with it and they would be all mine! It was hard to choose though, they are all so beautiful.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterErin

Maura- absolutely LOVE the photo idea. Since I don't see yardage in a perfect knitting world it'd be enough for a sweater for my 4 year old daughter, but since I'm sure it's not a cute little shrug instead.
