TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

I love so many of the colorways... they are so amazing! The one that really caught me was Jack. I would make socks for me, and I would buy more to make something for my own Jack :)

I also LOVE Clare and would make a february lady sweater or a thermal with it. Ooo no, I think I would get bulky yarn and make Vivian with it. Or maybe a Sylvi?? The possibilities are endless LOL!

Conner for sure. or Erin, or Kieran. No fair having to choose one!!! I would love some socks for myself- but in all likelyhood it would end up being shorties for my son :)

My favorite colorway (if I can only choose one..) is Fionn. If I had this yarn I would definitely make a clapotis or some other kind of scarf =)

I love the Madigan colorway. The colors are so deep and luxurious. I would make something nice for myself for once. Maybe a nice scarf and matching fingerless gloves. I get so cold in my office.

they're all beautiful, but having to choose just one, it would have to be Maguire. It reminds me of the harbour in the small town where I grew up. I'd love to make thrummed mittens with it, for my DH who spent a lot of time clearing the driveway of snow this past winter.

wow! Your photography skills are Amazing! Absolutely beautiful yarn, made even more spectacular by your photos. If I were to choose only one, Erin probably goes to the top of my list. Those beautiful colors scream spring to me, and a jaunty shawlette or scarf would be lovely. Or I may just frame it and make it art! I'm glad I found you through Ravelry-you're bookmarked so I can drool over this beauty some more!

Tough decision! But I love all things green so I'd have to say "Erin". I'd love to make a simple, but beautiful beret out of that. Something to keep my ears a bit warm but still light enough to remind me it's spring.

All the spring colors are just gorgeous, it's hard to pick one yet alone decide what to make. It would be lovely to have any just to sit and pet it and dream of the possibilities. One of my choices would be Cian to be used for a hat or scarf for my 6 y/o. He loves yellow and that is such a vibrant yellow, not pastel-ey, so I think it would still work for a boy. Or maybe Jack for a sweater for my daughter. Or another option, Jan for longies or shorties, probably with a matching sweater for my littlest, the gold colors would match his hair. Can you tell I like to knit for my kids?

It's hard to pick but I would have to go with Erin. I'd make socks, of course! :)

Clare as a Baby Surprise Jacket for my one year old. What a great contest, thanks

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commentermary

All the colorways are beautiful. If I had to pick one it would be Clare.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAnne

Erin, because green is my color. And it would probably have to be fingerless gloves.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterPatricia

I love Cian. It just looks so bright and spring-like. I'm in baby-prep mode for baby Grainne, so they'd definitely be a tiny pair of longies!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSuzanne S

I love Cameron. The colors are beautiful. It would make a wonderful cardigan for the fall. Kieran is stunning also and would make a great throw to snuggle under.

Maeve!!! Oh my, scrolling down the page I got to Maeve and just had to stop and stare. What a gorgeous colorway - totally swooning and daydreaming of sweaters and scarves and hats... hmmm... I want it!!! I think I would start with a scarf, it even matches my little girl's coat :)

I LOVE your yarn.....i would love to adopt some into my warm fuzzy yarn haven

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commentermegan campbell

I love Maguire!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterSara

Kate becasue I have been looking for this color. I may need to just order. My 2nd pair of socks ever. Wow I love the photos.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterThalia

It was hard to choose, becaue there were 3 colorways I'd absolutely love to bring home (and probably will at some point), but if I have to choose one, I'd say Niall. I'd make super long boot socks out of it.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterIndigo

Its got to be jack! I see a shawl along the lines of forest canopy or the like, leafy and laces, as those colours just say outdoors in all its splendour!
(If I'm honest, I'd have the lot but I had to pick!)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterBex

OMG First of all 1 of each please!!!

But if I HAD to choose...

Erin- absolutely delicious, I almost jumped at the screen trying to grab it. Socks. Definitely. I love bright greens but have no fun green socks? (Seriously, green car, kitchenaid mixer, sweaters, necklaces...)

and I've just completed my first BSJ so I'm itching to get more on the needles. Maeve and Madigan might have inspired me to do an adult size with a solid mixed in! They are stunning!!!!

Pick me, Pick me! I've never won an online contest before :)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAlisha

Maura is my favorite. I would make a wrap for myself with it. I never knit for myself! I also adore the Cian and would definitely knit a daffodil inspired summer top for my daughter with that.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLara Butler

Erin, love the colors and my daughter's middle name is Erin.

I would make fingerless gloves.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterJoanne

Ian for my uncle Ian who loves handmade socks.
