TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Well they are all so beautiful and I love Jack but I would have to choose Maura. I would love to knit a version of Juliet (ravelry) for my daughter with it.

Wow, those are gorgeous! I think Erin is my favorite... it's just asking to be a cute lacy scarf for spring (something like Lace Ribbon from Knitty, perhaps). But they're all gorgeous colorways!

I'd definitely choose Maeve! Soooo beautiful! I'd love to make a little hat/scarf set for my 3.5 year old daughter. She just loves it when mommy's knitting for her :)

I love MANY MANY of the new colors. But, if I had to pick one, it would be Jack. With it, if I find out my new bean is a boy, I'd either use it for longies or a BSJ. Not sure which. I think longies maybe, and then a matching solid for some other type of cardi to go with.

I am torn between Maeve and Connor. Maeve's colors speak to me but I am a sucker for bright green and purple together! So I'd have to say Connor. I'd make some happy cheerful socks in Connor.

I'd pick Alana - my best friend loves pinks and browns and has been hounding me to make her something. I think I'd try a clapotis for her.

Hard to choose, but if I HAD to pick, it would be between Niall and Maura. If I won one of them, I wouldn't make anything for a while. I would keep them as is and pet them often. Then maybe after a while, I might make socks or mittens or a hat.

That's a tough choice. I love them all...every single one of them. I would in the end have to go with Kieran, because that's the name of my wee baby boy, and the colour is one he would love. I would for once take the time to knit myself something, something gorgeaous I could wrap myself up in, like one of my little boy's hugs.

I love Maura! I would definitely knit myself a cardigan out of it. The hard part is which pattern to pick. Probably another Lemongrass Bolero. It would be a nice contrast to the black rainbow one I am finishing now.

Jack wants to become a shawl for me. He told me so.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterLisa

Madigan! A shawl of lace using fingering weight, it would say to the young-WOW! I want to be boldly strong and brave like that silver hair lady and use spirited, daring statements of color. To the grandma my shawl would say, Oh!, "Yes and why not? I could be that adventuresome and strike out into the world of my pastel piers with a statement of, "Yes, I can" wear color that is telling, that in my daily living I continue to be that girl of my twenties.

They are all gorgeous. Very hard to pick. I think it would have to be Grady. Not sure what I would knit with it, other than it would be for me, not anyone else this time.

I think my favorite is Niall, although I LOVE all of them! Niall has some of my favorite colors and I do have a friend named Niall! I should make him learn to knit so he can use the colorway. Awesomeness!

I really like most of your yarn designs (You did very well arranging the background in fitting colors, too). But my favourite yarn there is clare. I like it, because it reminds me of peony and berrys. I think i'd knit a tunic to wear in spring and on chilly summer evenings.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEriassa

Devin. And I would knit a wonderful vest, easy to wear, with awesome glass buttons of some very individualistic kind. And that vest would be like a warm friend, to wear on rainy misty gloomy spring days, to remind me of summer and warmth and grass growing. Le sigh.

I came over from Ravelry, and I think this is just brilliant.

Niall looks like the perfect yarn for a little cardigan that will go with everything.

I wish you much future success.

I'm really drawn to Devin. I love semi-solids and i'm going through a green phase. i've been wanting a lacy pair of fingerless gloves for spring, and i think Devin would be perfect. Thanks!

What a wonderful contest!

I think maybe Kate would be my favorite, but I'd have to use it for something for my little girl. For me, maybe Maeve.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterEmily

I forgot to include that I think your photography and the styling is just breathtaking (the gorgeous yarn doesn't hurt, either). :-)

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterHeatherOutsideBOS

it would have to be erin! the colors remind me of spring. i would make a shawl/wrap of some kind.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKate

Lovely colours! Great work. I would adore knitting Sassymetrical by Gay Schiff in Alana. I love the three blue-greens too. Perhaps some cabled goodness in one of those colours too.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKaren

I love all the new colorways but if I had to pick one it'd be Maeve... I would use it to make a lovely scarf for my sister in law... she and I don't always see eye to eye on everything but she is going through a rough patch in her life right now and could use a pick me up from someone who loves her through the good and bad... :)

All the colorways are beautiful------I love Jack and Maura and madigan is simply to die foe for

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commenterkathy

Everything is just gorgeous, buy Grady is hands-down my favorite. Pair it with some matching trim, and it would make a perfect kimono, hat, and longies set for the fall. So warm and snuggly looking. I'd probably have to make a cozy cocoon too. It sure is a good thing that we've got our miracle baby arriving in September! That little one is going to be decked out for the fall and winter!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMandy

oh Sharon, you've totally outdone yourself. The color combinations are gorgeous. I would pick Erin and in a perfect world I would make an every day super comfortable pullover sweater for myself. it would fit perfectly and be very simple to let the colors take center stage. There's not one colorway in this collection that I do not like! well done.
