TIME’S UP! Biggest yarn giveaway… ever!

Time is up! We'll be liveblogging the winners today (Wednesday) around 12:00 noon EST.

Have you seen our Spring Lookbook yet? (Even if you do nothing but flip through and think, "Cool," that will make me happy.)

We are giving away every skein of yarn pictured in the Spring Lookbook. Every single skein. All twenty of them.

This one:

And this one:

lookbook155-1.jpg

And this one:

lookbook92-1.jpg

And all seventeen more. We're not giving away the other stuff in the pictures, just the yarn.

There is no catch. You don't have to buy anything, you don't even have to pay for shipping. All you have to do is enter.

Contest rules: One entry per person. Our blog logs IP addresses, so we can check. Please enter only one time. You cannot be an employee of Three Irish Girls or be related to an employee of Three Irish Girls. (Got that, honey?) Your entry must be received by 4:30 am Eastern time on Wednesday, March 25th. Entries sent after that time will not be included in the contest.

Here's how it works: Reply to this post, answering the question below. You must actually reply to this post, do not email in your answer. (Click on the Read User's Comments link, and scroll down. It will take you to a box where you can reply.) After all the entries have been received, the number of entrants will be divided into 20 groups. One winner will be selected from each of the 20 groups. This is to improve your chances of winning. For example, if there are 100 responses, I will divide everyone into 20 groups. Each group will have five people.

Are you with me? 100 divided by 20= 5. I will then choose one winner from each of the 20 groups. In the scenario I've given, your odds of winning will change from one in 100 to one in five. Or something like that. I'm not a statistician. Just try to trust me, I'm looking out for you here. There will also be one grand prize given away, a winner randomly chosen from among everyone. The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate to be used on anything you like in our store.

TIME IS UP! WINNER'S WILL BE ANNOUNCED AROUND 12:00 EST TODAY (WEDNESDAY). BE SURE AND CHECK BACK, and thank you, everyone. :)GOOD LUCK, AND MAY THE (KNITTING) FORCE BE WITH YOU!

I loved them all and had trouble picking one for me.
However, the colors in Maeve are the colors for my daughters wedding. It would be great to make her a sweater for the after wedding celebration with a yarn using all her colors!!!

Fionn.

I'd love to make my husband a classic cabled sweater in Fionn to match his lovely blue eyes.

I'd choose Cian. Spring is here so this shade of yellow is perfect. Probably do a lacy scarf like the Lace Ribbon, but a pair of Hedera would be nice, too :)

I love all the colors. If I had to choose only one it would be Kieran, or maybe Erin, or Devin...I would make a lacey scarf or socks

I would like Alana to come home with me - and in an ideal world I would make a camisole with a little lace in the pattern, and a little matching cardigan. Neat and ladylike and perfect for cooler summer days here in England.

My favorite colorway was Jack. I think it would make a fantastic wallaby sweater for my son.

I can only choose one!!!?? I will have to go with Kate. I LOVE the pop of green. All the colors remind me of spring. The brown of the trees, the pops of green like buds, the pink and red flowers sprouting everywhere......
I would defiantly make one of my daughters a skirt with the yarn.

They're all lovely, but I would have to choose Maura. And since it's a perfect knitting world, I'd have enough of Maura to make a lace cardigan of my own design, suitable for cool spring evenings or breezy fall afternoons.

I had a hard time choosing, but I finally picked Cara (though it narrowly beat out Fionn and Alana!).

I would use Cara to make Toasty, by Leslie Friend.

Beautiful yarns, all of them!

Pick one? Just one? I can't. They are all beautiful and the photography is beautiful as well.
Kate is my favorite. I would love to turn it into a shawl/wrap. Beautiful.

Kieran and I would make a luscious lace shawl with it. It was hard to pick one. They were all gorgeous.

In a perfect (knitting) world, I would never be forced to choose! And you have indeed made it very very hard to choose. All of the yarns are simply gorgeous.

My heart leads me to Brady and Connor, for their vibrancy and saturated color. My brother has just welcomed his third child, a boy, for whom I think I would knit an adorable sweater, hat and booties for.

Scrumptious!

First let me say that I LOVE the photography! You did a fantastic job! I can see projects from all the colorways...but to choose just one, it would be Kieran. I would make a warm snuggly Cardi or Pullover. I love the rusts/oranges in the fall, especially when worn with jeans. The contrasts between Oranges and Blues are some of my favorites! Of course I see several others that would be perfect for projects for the grandbabies, too!

Do I have to pick just one?? I'd love to have Ian or Jack as a pair of summer shorties for my toddler, and Kate or Conner would make delicious socks for me! Great job!

All the color combinations are beautiful.

CAMERON is the color I would choose. I am addicted to reds. As well as making socks so the yarn would be used to make yarnissima's firestarter pattern.

I love Devin, as I love all greens, it is very springy and fresh looking! What I would make, is something lacey~ a scarf maybe, and I would send it to my friend named Stella who lives in near Thailand.
She is suffering with major health issues, and lives in the mountains of Burma, where it is getting very cold there as we are now into spring here, they are starting there winter, and I know that she would be so blessed by it, and the colors would really brighten here spirits! Thank you for doing this giveaway, God bless you! :)

I choose Alana to make an incredibly sophisticated cowl neck sweater.

Thank you for the contest. I have not seen your yarns before and every one of them is lovely. I loved Kieran since I don't have any yarn in that colorway. I would probably knit a Raha Scarf from Knitted Lace of Estonia and it would be for me!

Clare - for an Elizabeth Zimmermann "New Zealand Sweater"

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterDori

I'm going to go with Erin... but they are all lovely!

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterKellie

Kate is my favorite.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered Commenteralissa

I'd bring home Jack! I'm in love with the colors and want to decorate our sunporch with a beach theme. I'd knit a throw pillow out of Jack and decorate the rest of the room in coordinating colors.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterAngela

I love Jack! (Literally because it's also my husband's name) but I love the colors. All the yarns are beautiful though. I would definitely pick Jack and make a beautiful gypsy scarf.

March 24, 2009 | Unregistered CommenterMegan

In the perfect universe, I would get a truckload of Erin to make a suit for work with matching hat, scarf and gloves for winter time. Maybe a sweater, too. As others have posted, they're all gorgeous. Maguire, Finn, & Cara came a very close second, though.
